Aka Dua in the Dreaming
I began dreaming with the Aka Dua the day I first received it. I knew then that it was one of the most precious gifts I had ever been given. Its elegance and grace was apparent from the beginning. Like a chameleon it adapted seamlessly to the environment of my body and infused a richness and vitality in both the dreaming and waking realms of my life. From its subtle features like that of a whispering breeze or a delicate caress, to its intense force akin to the hot radiations of a burning sun, the Aka Dua has shown itself to be profound and of real benefit to my life’s work.
As a result of experimenting and working with it, I’ve noticed a metamorphic quality to the substance. I use it primarily as a tool to develop within myself the capacity to sustain a higher will, my True Will. In the process of working towards this aim, I’ve observed that as I grow and evolve, the Aka Dua grows and evolves with me. It exhibits a highly intelligent nature.
In the Dreaming it facilitates my intent by acting as a conduit between the Ego and Higher Self. I remember before going to bed one night, asking the Aka Dua to assist me in deconstructing social programming; images and thought processes that inhibit the ability to receive states of higher consciousness. That night, the energy simulated a situation in which I had to face my fears, but more importantly, it provided me with a clear picture of how I view authority, which is vital information to understand about oneself. The reason for this is because the highest authority for most individuals is God and it is our images and ideas of this deity that keep us from realizing that we are always in the presence of the Absolute.
I remember this dream clearly. I was in a field inhabited by crocodiles and I knew I was a prisoner in this place. There was a white picket fence surrounding the field and it seemed so easy to cross, but on taking another look I saw that most of the crocodiles rested in front of the fence.
The atmosphere of this place was stagnant, the air was hot and dry, and as I looked at the field I noticed that the grass was yellow. Many people were walking as if they were somewhere else, unable to see the giant creatures before them. Interestingly however, their feet seemed to know to walk around these creatures even though their eyes could not see.
My mom was there. She could see the crocodiles, but wasn’t afraid of them. They moved like snails for her. I, on the other hand, was very much afraid of these creatures. They were always snapping at me. I believe they thought I was a trouble maker because I kept trying to jump the fence.
I remember being placed in a smaller enclosure. In front of me was a white mac-truck and inside was the biggest and most beautiful, shimmering crocodile I had ever seen. An eight year old girl sat next to it. She had amber eyes that reminded me of the setting sun. I looked at her and realized that this entity, this child, was the Aka Dua. As she stared into my eyes she infused my body with the energy and I saw a multitude of bright colors and lights. Then she compassionately looked into the eyes of the crocodile. They were face to face and I detected no fear in her. She sent a clear, wave-like energy to the animal and it slowly and happily turned on its back as she petted its belly like a puppy dog. She turned her eyes to me once again and smiled and the weight of my fears dissolved. Before I woke up, I heard her voice say to me, "See, you donÂ’t have to be afraid."
In the Dreaming, the Aka Dua is an excellent guide! I use it in my experiments to help me enhance and maintain states of lucidity in both the dreaming and waking worlds. Refined by the hands of the Toltecs, the Aka Dua is truly an advanced technology and a precious gift from the sun.
